Well Meaning Advice

When people know you're trying to make a baby anyone who has a kid already tries to give you advice. If someone hasn't been through infertility, most of their ideas come from old wives tales and things they've heard. A lot of the most common ones aren't even true. So for someone who knows that, it can be super annoying to hear the same things over and over. Usually I just smile and nod, but boy is it frustrating.

Advice I find the most annoying:
JUST RELAX (yes because I can just make my documented and medicated anxiety, go away)
Positive Thinking (it's hard when you see negative after negative)
It'll happen when you least expect it (at this point I always expect it to fail)
Pray on it, I'll pray for you (please stop, I don't believe in god)
diet/exercise will solve all your problems (been there, done that, do you see a baby? Are my PCOS and Endo fixed now?)
I know people do this because they care but if you have a loved one who is struggling with infertility and you've never been through it, you know what's the #1 thing you can do? LISTEN. Sometimes the most helpful thing is just to let them lean on you a little, this burden is heavy.
