If I could go back to the beginning...

My husband and I started our journey of trying to make a baby in February 2019. While I knew the reality of having PCOS, we were hopeful. Maybe we would beat the odds.

That March my husband found a four leaf clover we thought was a sign. I even put it in a book to dry it, saying we'd one day hang it in the baby's room. As the months went on and I looked at more and more negative pregnancy tests, the hope faded away. By the time we hit a year and it was time to go back to the doctor for help my expectations were at an all time low.

*my husband and I in March 2019, still so hopeful*

If I could go back and tell us what I know now:

  • hope is good but don't get it so high that it crushes you when it doesn't work out

  • Don't be so hard on yourself, you cannot force your body to work right

  • appreciate how supportive your husband is

  • hug your puppers super hard

  • people who haven't been through it really don't get it

  • It will happen, even if it's a long hard road, it will happen
