We had a busy month of August! Towards the beginning of the month, we went to my brother's wedding. While I liked celebrating, I really hated all the small talk about baby girl, is that terrible of me? I just hate all the super basic questions from fake people who probably don't really care. Like if I don't have to hear "How are you feeling?" again that would be ok.

Shortly after coming home from the wedding I went back to school for the beginning of the school year. Round 2 of all the small talk from coworkers. Some of whom really do care and I didn't mind answering and others I just avoided like the plague to not be fake nice to.

I went for a check up at MFM and baby girl was doing well. She is already head down and is already practice breathing, getting ready for her debut to the world.

The next week I went for my regular OB appointment and that, on the other hand, did not go as smoothly. First my blood pressure was high, which is not abnormal for me at doctors appointments so we decided to recheck later. Then we tried to get baby girl's heartbeat for a non stress test. Every time they found it, she would roll away by the time they strapped down the doppler to listen for 20 minutes. After a half hour of trying the doctor sent me to get an ultrasound instead. We checked my BP again while we waited and it was a little lower but still high. I got in for the ultrasound and there she is, just wiggling away, living her best life, being a pain in the butt. Causing all the nurses to worry for nothing. The doctor was happy with how she was looking, but not with my BP so after I got the Tdap shot, they once

again tried my BP, high again. She was happy that I have no other signs of preeclampsia but she wanted to be cautious so then sent me for blood work and to get a recheck a few days later. Thankfully the bloodwork only showed that I'm anemic which we already knew and my BP was back to normal a few days later, so thankfully, no preeclampsia.

I'm now going to the OB once a week. Hopefully baby girl will get big enough that she can't move away for the non stress test, it will make everything go so much easier.

Honestly, I can't believe how far we've come, like I get to meet her when we induce in 7 weeks! I don't think I have enough done yet....like I still have to lesson plan for my sub, but I am so ready to meet this baby girl.
