We've officially made it to viability! Our baby girl is really coming!
All of our pets have been upping their cuddle game, and I have to imagine they know that the baby is in there and is going to be part of our family. On the downside, it means I get way less done around the house because they are just so cozy.
This month we had multiple doctors
appointments. First I had a regular OB appointment and my little sassy pants daughter kept rolling away from nurse trying to take her heartbeat. But when we did find it, she was doing wonderful. Next OB visit I will be checking my glucose levels for gestational diabetes. That's really my last big hurdle as far as having a "healthy" pregnancy. I want so badly to prove that just because I'm overweight that it doesn't mean I will have complications. So I got to bring home the glucose drink so that I can have it before I go next time instead of having to wait there for an hour for the test.
Then the next week I had an echocardiogram. Because she's a little science IVF baby, she had a higher change of a heart defect but her little heart ended up being perfect. As usual, she fought the ultrasound tech, dancing, rolling and being a contortionist in my stomach. At one point she had even folded herself in half so her feet were up by her chest.
We also FINALLY started cleaning out her room so it will slowly be transformed into a nursery. So ultimately, so far so good! I hope this girl is ready to get so much love.
